It saddens me deeply to inform you that our dear friend and relative Michael Soffos has passed. Many of you may not know who he is because he's been living in Florida for the past 14 years. He spent all his life here in the Youngstown area up to that point. He is probably best known for his stint with the very popular local band "Coconut" back in the 70's. He also performed for a time with the "Great Lakes Band". I'm sure you all remember these groups and the spark plug that fronted and played bass for these bands. That was Michael. I personally had the privilege of being Michael's cousin. I have nothing but fond memories of him. He was well respected and more important a greatly loved person. Warm, sincere, kind, generous and well liked as anyone I have known... I will miss him...    Tom Chris
