Gerald Clifford "Cliff" Shuster 





SHUSTER (Kastner) Gerald Clifford "Cliff" Shuster passed away November 14, 2011, following a brave fight with cancer. He was born in Lima, Ohio to Gerald and Jeanette Shuster on December 6, 1948. He graduated from Akron Firestone High School and attended the University of Akron and Columbus State Community College. He served in the U.S. Army 1969-1971. He retired from the State of Ohio where he worked with the Foster Grandparent Program. He enjoyed playing bass guitar and saxophone in his band for 30 years, golf, fishing and having fun. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Craig. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Kastner; sons, Gerald A. and Jonathan (Jacqueline) and their mother, Beverly, Tampa, Florida; grandchildren, Andrew and Annabelle; sister-in-law, Mary Shuster; and many cousins and friends. Calling hours will be from 3-7 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER MIDTOWN CHAPEL, 229 E. State St. on Friday, November 18. Service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Christ Lutheran Church, 2314 E.
